Marcella Burke Named to Lawdragon’s 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know

The Lawdragon 100 recognizes law firm leaders across the country who are shaping the future of the profession, guiding their firms through a rapidly evolving legal and economic landscape while building strong, sustainable organizations. Honorees include leaders of global enterprises, midsized firms, and founder-led practices who are redefining what effective law firm leadership looks like today.

Marcella founded Burke Law Group after careers in Big Law and senior federal service, including leadership roles at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Interior. She is among the few lawyers in private practice to have served in senior positions at both agencies. In 2023, she was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas School Land Board, which manages the sale and leasing of approximately 13 million acres of state lands that support public education.

Since its founding, Burke Law Group has grown into a boutique firm with a national footprint across Houston, Austin, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles, with attorneys spanning litigation, corporate, and regulatory disciplines. The firm represents clients across the energy and infrastructure sectors in complex commercial, environmental, and administrative matters.

This recognition reflects Marcella’s leadership in founding and building Burke Law Group, as well as her continued role in navigating complex legal and regulatory issues at the intersection of industry and government.
