About the Burke Law Group

Who We Are

We are elite lawyers who work on complex business and legal matters.  We leverage our expertise to zealously represent your needs. Our high-performing culture derives from our uncompromising commitment to excellence, candor, collegiality, and magnanimity.

Our Values

There are four pillars that act as the foundation for the Burke Law Group.  These principles guide everything from the attorneys we hire to the approach we take with handling matters for clients.

Excellence

We are excellent at our craft and exhibit the highest standards of both professional competency and moral character. Personal excellence—our own, and that of the work product we provide—defines our success.

“Excellences we get by first exercising them, as also happens in the case of the arts as well. For the things we have to learn before we can do, we learn by doing, e.g. men become builders by building and lyre-players by playing the lyre; so too we become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts.” Nichomachean Ethics 2:1 or 1103a15-b25 (trans. W. D. Ross)

Candor

We are open, honest, and sincere at all times. Our clients expect from us reliable, straightforward advice and work product.

Candor comes from Latin candēre, meaning “to shine or glow.” That origin is reflected in the word’s early uses referring to brightness or unstained purity and innocence, which are the sources of today’s familiar use of candor for unquestionably honest expression.  The fact that it is frequently preceded by the adjective refreshing suggests that it is often unexpected.

Camaraderie

Our relationships are grounded in a concern for the welfare of the other and we are united by our shared mission to bring success to your business.

Camaraderie comes from French camarade, which is also the source of English’s comrade, meaning “friend or associate.”

Magnanimity

We lead full lives, strive to do great things, and are dedicated to the pursuit of the common good.

Magnanimity comes from Latin magnanimitās, from magna “big” + animus “soul, spirit.” It is the virtue of being great of mind and heart. It encompasses a willingness to face danger and dare great action for noble purposes.

Our Clients

We work for clients across a wide spectrum of industries, from oil & gas to new start-ups and innovators.  The common thread between our clients is they have seen the traditional  approach most law firms take to representing clients and our clients, and they wanted something better.

They wanted better representation.  They wanted a law firm that shared their values.  They wanted a partner who would be aligned with their vision for their company.

That is what the Burke Law Group delivers.  Let us represent you in:
