As former senior energy finance lawyer at Vinson & Elkins and Simpson Thacher, Robert Rabalais brings over 30 years of hands-on experiences structuring, financing, and completing complicated and sophisticated transactions.  

At Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Robert was the founder and managing partner of its Houston office for over 10 years.  While practicing, he was one of the leading energy finance attorneys in the US and was ranked in Chambers USA Guide in Band 1 for Banking & Finance.

He holds a BS in Political Science and Philosophy from Louisiana State University and received a JD from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University (Order of the Coif and Law Review).  He has published numerous articles and presented at numerous conferences on debtor/creditor issues and related financing issues.
